Marine anti-fouling grade Cuprous oxide (Cu₂O)

Marine anti-fouling grade cuprous oxide red powder is an ideal anti-fouling agent for anti-fouling coating. With the presence of slightly elevated levels of cuprous oxide on ships’ hulls, which prevents the build-up of foulants such as barnacles, tubeworms and bryozoa.

Cuprous oxideis avalence oxide of copper, bright red material, the chemical formula is Cu₂O, the relative molecular mass is 143.08. It is almost insoluble in water, in acid solution disproportionation of cupric and copper, it oxidates gradually into black cupric oxide in the wet air.
