Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB-551-0.2) is a cellulose ester with high butyryl content and relatively lowmolecular weight. It is compatible with numerous cross-linking resins and has a lower solution viscosity. 

In coatings CAB-551-0.2 gives clear films, reduces surface tack and mottling, minimizes cratering, improves flow and thermareflow, and provides intercoat adhesion and good UV stability. 

Cellulose Acetate Butyrate CAB-551-0.2 is useful for durable cross-linked formulations. Its good compatibility with a wide range of curing resin systems and its solubility in a wide variety of solvents andsolvent combinations make it useful as an additive in numerous coating compositions.

CAB not only dissolves in highly polar solvents but can even dissolve in alcohol-based solvents. It can be mixed with various synthetic resins and high-boiling-point plasticizers. CAB exhibits characteristics such as non-yellowing, flexibility, cold resistance, good color retention, excellent flow properties, resistance to hydrolysis, and high transparency. It significantly improves coating flow, eliminates film shrinkage, enhances solvent release, promotes pigment dispersion, improves adhesion, and increases coating hardness.

l Package:  20kgs/ctn with an inner PE bag, palletized: 6ctns/layer,

10 layers(60ctns)/pallet .

l Loadability in container 20'/40'  (Palletized): 12000kg. / 24000kg.

l Store at room temperature. Keep package closed after using.

l Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 2 years.

l If it exceeds the 2-year shelf life, it can continue to be used after passing the test.
