Description：

1,6-Hexanediol (HDO) appears as white color flake. It is solid at room temperature and has good stability at normal ambient temperature. It is soluble in water, methanol, butanol, butyl acetate, slightly soluble in hot ether, insoluble in benzene; strong hygroscopicity; sensitive to humidity, oxidising agents, reducing agents, acid chlorides, acid anhydrides, chloroformates, etc.

Application:

1,6-Hexanediol(HDO) is an important organic chemical with a variety of uses and properties. It is mainly used in the production of polyurethanes, unsaturated polyesters, plasticisers, hardeners for gelling agents, and modifiers of the thermal stability of lubricating oils. It is also used in the production of pesticide pyrethroids, organic peroxides, cyclic musk, polyethylene plastic crosslinking agents and polyether rubber. In addition, it can also be used as organic synthesis intermediates, plasticisers, dye coupling agents and printing ink formulation.HDO can be applied to the modification of polyester resin, the modified resin has excellent mechanical strength, water resistance, heat resistance and oxidation resistance.HDO can improve the alkali resistance of the resin, and improve its adhesion with glass fibre.
