SA3120 HAA Hardener for polyester powder coatings

Matting agent is an additive added to powder coating formulations to reduce the gloss of the coating film. It creates a rough microscopic coating surface through the compatibility difference between the matting agent and other base materials.Klarint® is a profession additive in China for powder coating whose Matting Agent Series is developed for various powder coating systems, and widely used by lots international famous powder coating factories.

1. Description:

Klarint® SA3120 is a poly-functional ß-hydroxyalkylamide cross linking agent. As a substitute of TGIC, it is suitable for curing with carboxyl-terminated polyester or acrylic resin to provide TGIC-free based exterior durable powder coatings.

3. Characteristics:

Non-toxic compared with TGIC, the resulting TGIC-free based exterior durable powder coatings are non-toxic, non-irritant to skin and safety to human body.
Proven weather-resistance and low temperature curing ( 150C) property.
Exhibited enhanced charging properties so better powder transfer efficiency could be obtained.
Excellent flow and mechanical properties.
Improved anti-yellowing when used in combination with our developed specific degassing agent SA500.

6. Use method & levels

Premix SA3120 with other components of the formula before extrusion.
Recommend to design formula by weight parts of 95/5 [resin to SA3120] for polyester resin with AV ca.34mg KOH/g; 96.5/3.5 for polyester resin with AV ca.22mg KOH/g.

7. Package & Storage

Packaging with PE lined Kraft paper bag. Net weight 25kg per bag.
Store in cool dry place to aviod caking. Keep away from heat and fire.
Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 2 years.
