K7007 Anti-yellowing agent for powder coatings

Additive plays an aesthetic role in improving a product’s appearance also provide mechanical or chemical resistance. By definition, additives are added in small quantities, often less than one point percent, to re-inforce selected chemical or physical properties of the finished powder coatings.

By definition, additives are added in small quantities, often less than one point percent, to re-inforce selected chemical or physical properties of the finished powder coatings. Powder coating products has some limitations that are intrinsic to the technology itself, which are linked to the physical state of the Powder coating before application on the piece to be coating. Powder particles must melt first (melting), then aggregate to form a homogeneous liquid film (flow) and finally crosslink to form the final coating film (crosslinking). Sometimes the defect effect is created, which sometimes distinguishes the final appearance of powder coatings compared to more conventional liquid coatings. Therefore, additives play an important role in powder coating technology.

K7007 is an upgraded product of K7005. It is used to suppress yellowing and aging of powder coatings at high temperature. It has very low smoke emission and can be applied to a variety of powder coating systems.

3. Characteristics:

Can significantly inhibit yellowing of powder coating caused by electric baking and gas baking.     

Can significantly inhibit the aging of the powder coating caused by high temperature baking, can withstand high temperature baking at 220-250  C.

 Low smoke, low dosage and high efficiency, suitable for a variety of powder coating systems.

6. Use method & levels

Premix K7007 with other components of the formulation before extrusion.

The use level is 0.2- 1% by weight, based on total formulation weight.

7. Package & Storage

Packing with PE lined Kraft paper bags. Net weight 25kg per bag.

Store in a cool and dry place to avoid moisture absorption. It should be closed immediately after use and away from fire sources.


Based on our experience, this product is valid for at least two years at a storage temperature of <32°C.
