K7235 Matting hardener for hybrid powder coatings

1. Description:

Matting agent is an additive added to powder coating formulations to reduce the gloss of the coating film. It creates a rough microscopic coating surface through the compatibility difference between the matting agent and other base materials.

K7235 is a wax-free, synthetic resin based matting hardener designed for hybrid powder coatings to provide 2-40%(60°) of gloss. Powder Coatings formulated with K7235 has excellent impact resistance, surface hardness and scratch resistance.

Reaction with binder,much stronger film hardness and scratch resistance.

Premix K7235 with other components of the formula before extrusion.

The use level is1-5% by weight based on total formula,depends on the gloss required.

K7235 reacts with epoxy resin,the ratio of K7235/Epoxy is 1:1.

7. Package & Storage:

Packaging with PE lined Kraft paper bags. Net weight 25kg per bag.

Store in temperature between 2-32℃ or cool dry place. Keep away from heat and fire. 

Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 2 years.

8.  Advisement:

Choose proper accelerator or catalyst to improve the impact resistance, but this will result in unexpected gloss up or 

worsen the surface leveling.
